Selecting a Style of Hearing Aid

Different styles of hearing aids available are shown below.

	Completely In the Canal (CIC) A single unit that is placed deeply in the canal of the ear.
	In The Canal (ITC) A single unit that fills the canal and lower portion of the ear.
	In The Ear (ITE) A single unit that fills the entire bowl of the ear.
	Behind The Ear (BTE) A dual unit that consists of plastic casing containing the electronics that sits behind the ear and is connected by a clear plastic tube to an ear mold or bud.
